NOZZLES FOR WATER AND SEWAGE TREATMENT

Within the water supply and wastewater treatment industry, our nozzles and tank cleaners find multiple applications. We have collaborated with most of the major water providers in India. Although we supply nozzles for any spray application, this section focuses on the three common projects we handle in the water industry.
Storm Tank Cleaning Systems
During heavy rainfall, storm tanks collect excess water from the sewage system to prevent sewage from overloading treatment plants. The polluted water stored in these tanks is released back into the sewage system when it can better handle the load. Thus, storm tanks prevent cities' water treatment systems from being overwhelmed and literally overflowing during rainy periods.
However, the water stored in these tanks contains a large number of organic and inorganic pollutants, and as the water may be stored for several days, considerable sediment may be left behind. Due to the presence of biologically active pollutants, there is a potential for noxious and harmful deposits to form due to bacterial activity. If left uncleaned, these deposits represent health and safety concerns and will eventually obstruct the storm tank's effective operation.
Ease of Maintenance
As water treatment plants are often located in remote areas and do not have the benefit of being connected to workshops or service facilities, spray systems should be designed for ease of maintenance. Engaging specialist engineers on-site can be costly, so a spray system should be as user-friendly as possible and serviceable with basic tools.
The Storm Blaster tank cleaning machine is designed to be field serviceable without requiring special tools. It can be stripped down and cleaned in less than 15 minutes, so trips back to the factory for repair are minimized. It is also designed to be a highly robust machine, operating for many years without requiring any maintenance work.
The use of quick-fit nozzle holders is another innovation that can be helpful when dealing with large numbers of nozzles. Uni-Spray adjustable nozzle holders allow nozzles to be easily removed and their spray direction changed by 45 degrees in two dimensions.

Storm Tank Cleaning
Improperly cleaned stormwater dilution tanks can cause serious odor pollution. The Synergy tank cleaning system is a more effective alternative to tipping buckets, whirl educators, and manual entry cleaning.

Odor Control
The use of sprays to destroy and eliminate odors is a common application for our spray nozzles. Nozzles are either used to directly treat odor particles in the air or as part of scrubber systems.
Foam Control
The formation of persistent foam in the water treatment process is a common problem. Foam can occur in aeration tanks, anaerobic digesters, or secondary clarifiers. Spray nozzle clusters located above the liquid level can be used to knock back and control foam.
